About USA STEAM League
A U.S. gateway to international academic competition.
USA STEAM League is managed by Ultimate Gaming Championship, LLC as the official SIMCC USA Country Partner. The program creates a clear entry point for students in the United States to participate in high-level global contests across major STEAM categories.
Students can sign up individually, through their school, or with a scholastic organization. Top students may qualify for global finals, where they compete alongside participants from other countries while representing the USA.
For schools, USA STEAM League will recognize a USA STEAM League Champion based on student performance across multiple categories. State-by-state results may also be broken out once participation levels support meaningful comparison.
What Is SIMCC?
The international contest network behind the pathway.
The Singapore International Mastery Contests Center (SIMCC) is one of Asiaβs leading academic competition organizations, engaging over 700,000 students worldwide through a globally recognized framework of Olympiads and enrichment programs. Founded in Singapore, SIMCC organizes prestigious competitions such as the Singapore & Asia Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO) and the Singapore International Math Olympiad Challenge (SIMOC), alongside a growing portfolio across mathematics, science, and interdisciplinary fields. Through partnerships spanning more than 45 countries, SIMCC provides students with opportunities to showcase their talents, gain international exposure, and earn distinguished academic recognition through global rankings, medals, certificates of achievement, and invitation-only honors programs. Beyond competition, SIMCC is committed to developing higher-order thinking, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving under pressure, while offering training, mentorship, and scholarship pathways that support students in building the credentials and confidence needed for future academic success.
Awards And Recognition
Achievement is recognized at every level of competition.
How placements work
Most SIMCC olympiad-style contests award students by percentile bands within their grade or division. A common structure is Gold for the top 8%, Silver for the next 12%, Bronze for the next 20%, and Honourable Mention for the next 10%.
Some contests and global finals use a slightly different model, such as Gold for the top 10%, Silver for the next 15%, Bronze for the next 25%, and Honourable Mention for the next 20%.
What students receive
Students can earn medals, certificates, e-certificates, certificates of participation, and contest-specific recognition depending on the competition format. Certain assessment-style contests emphasize e-certificates, while olympiad and global finals pathways include medal recognition.
Team contests may also award team Gold, Silver, and Bronze placements in addition to individual recognition.
Championship and honors
Some contests also recognize Overall Champion, Runner-up, and 2nd Runner-up when participation thresholds are met. STEAM AHEAD pathways can include broader honors such as PAExS recognition, invitation-based programs, leadership opportunities, scholarships, art exhibition opportunities, and other special distinctions.

Training Materials
Students receive practice resources that help them prepare with confidence.
After registration, students will receive access to training materials that may include previous years' contest papers, answer keys, mock tests, LMS content, video lessons, webinars, and contest-specific preparation resources depending on the competition.
SIMCC's Member Development Portal publicly features past-year papers and practice materials for contests such as SASMO, SMC, DrCT/NJIO, SIMOC, and STEAM AHEAD pathways. This gives students a clearer picture of question style, pacing, and difficulty before contest day.
For families and schools, this gives students preparation context before contest day. They can review how earlier papers were structured, strengthen weaker areas, and build familiarity with the type of thinking each contest expects.
